The Last
6 Miles

Our 2022 fundraiser raised $4500 for the KDF!
THANK YOU!

The Last 6 Miles is an organization that educates and funds research for Kawasaki disease (aka KD, an acute vascular syndrome usually affecting children), as well as supports every person facing their own unique challenges in life. The organization was created by Matthew Abrams and Stephanie Karzon Abrams to support co-founder Matt who fell 6 miles short of finishing the 2020 LA Marathon due to cardiac complications related to KD. In 2020, our mission was to finish the “Last 6 miles” of the marathon with Matt and with the support of our community. We will continue to raise awareness about KD and help fund research through events that bring people together!
